About the Role:
Aquila is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The Software Engineer focuses on driving analytics to take advantage of vast and rapidly expanding biological datasets to address national security needs.
There are a few requirements for the position:
- Must be a U.S Citizen (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
- Must be within commutable distance of Lexington, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities:
Full lifecycle application development. Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages. Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis. Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD). Software modeling and simulation. Front end graphical user interface design. Software testing and quality assurance. Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation. Supports, maintains and documents software functionality. Integrates software with existing systems. Evaluates and identifies new technologies for implementation. Maintains standards compliance. Implements localization or globalization of software
What You’ll Bring:
- Full-stack Software/Algorithm Development experience, development from database through to and including user interface
- Software Documentation
- Backend Programming (SQL)
- GIT/GITHUB/GITLAB
- JavaScript development
- Python development, including boto3, flask restx, fastapi, sqlalchemy
- REACT development
- Developing for AWS, including s3, IAM, RDS, EC2, system manager, cloudwatch, cloudformation, ECR, transfer family
- MVC frameworks (Struts, Spring MVC, Play)
- Software Architecture
- Object Oriented Software Design and Development
Must Have
- Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance)
- 10 Years Developing for AWS (s3, IAM, RDS, EC2, system manager, cloudwatch, cloudformation, ECR, TF)
- 20 years Software Architecture
- 20 years Software Documentation
- 20 years Backend Programming (SQL)
- 10 years JavaScript Development
- 20 years MVC frameworks (Struts, Spring MVC, Play)
- 20 years Object Oriented Software Design and Development
- 10 years Python Development (boto3, flask restx, fastapi, sqlalchemy)
- 20 years Full-stack Software/Algorithm Development (database through to/and including UI)
- 10 years GIT/GITHUB/GITLAB
- Experienced full-stack developer with expertise in Python, Javascript and database is crucial to the success of RAPIDS platform and related programs.
